Kristin Cavilleri, a poor replacement for Lauren if you ask me, officially announced that she'd be joining The Hills to EW. And she reveals that it was her who set up Heidi and Spencer originally! Even more of an idiot than I thought she was!

"It was 4 years ago. I was dating Brody [Jenner] and Spencer was Brody’s best friend. I had known Heidi when she was friends with Lauren when we were still filming Laguna Beach. Heidi was like, ‘Hook me up with someone. I wanna meet a guy.’ And Brody and I were kinda like, ‘Well, maybe Spencer?’ We’ll see what happens.’ So we all went on a double date and they just hit it off right away and now they’re married."

So that's who we have to blame for the monstrosity that is Speidi.

Also, what's with Kristin speaking openly about "acting" on The Hills and how it's all a setup? Excuse me, but I like to live in fantasy land, comfortable in the knowledge that The Hills is a reality show, so all the drama that happens is real. I've ignored everyone in the past who suggests otherwise, but I can't ignore this: "it’s a TV show and they need to make it entertaining." and "It’s a TV show. I’m not going into it like, ‘I’m going to make great friendships with these people.’ It’s work! And drama sells."

So went her interview with EW. I'm not sure I'm going to be obsessing about The Hills anymore.

Hot right now: The Bustier

Once again, Rihanna triumphs in the style department. This is like, the ultimate casual outfit because she looks dressed down but super hot at the same time. Not an easy feat ladies. How can you pull it off?

What you have:
- the loose cardi, preferably in a thick rib and short. We have one of these on sale right now by Natasha, coincidentally, at 70% off retail.
- the cargo pants: these are a perennial and no matter the colour, will work as long as they sit loose and low on the hip.

What you need:
- A bustier! The light colour gives Rihanna's outfit a fresh, casual feel, so keep this in mind when purchasing. Bustiers in a darker colour are much more dressy and probably won't look as cool.

Should you wear heels with denim shorts?

Here's Nicky Hilton, shopping LA. Casually decked out with a pair of screaming hot shoes, is it a look we can copy?

I always check out celebs wearing heels with denim shorts and love it. Their legs look longer, thinner, and great shoes have a fabulous knack of turning an ordinary pair of cut offs and a singlet into an outfit. You know?

But whenever I pop on my highest heels with my shortest denims, I look ... wrong. Overdone. Try hard.

Honestly, what kind of glamourous life are you leading when heels + denim shorts are acceptable wear for a daytime trip to Westfield? My shopping trips are purposely accompanied by either thongs, ballet flats or trainers. How are you supposed to make shopping worth it when you know your feet are going to end up aching and make the entire experience unbearable?

Nicky probably doesn't have any such concerns. In LA, you drive everywhere. There is no shopping strip, very few big shopping centres, she simply drives her car up to valet and pays for the pleasure of being looked after. Valet is everywhere in LA, it's like McDonalds.

Seeing as we a) don't live in LA, b) aren't an heiress to the Hilton fortune and c) don't have valet, I've come to the disappointing conclusion that you should only wear heels with frayed denim shorts out at night. Prolific daytime use just doesn't fit into our lifestyle.

Does this not sum up your idea of typical California girls? This is what I'm talking about when I blog about stereotypical LA style, ie. there is no style. It's pretty much, I'm going to dye my hair as blonde as I can, grow it as long as I can, and then wear a tight dress in a bright colour. It's my 21st birthday party so I get to choose which dress and which colour first, you can have the leftovers, because we're best friends.

I can't tell you how much I think women who dress like this aren't doing themselves any favours. They've basically modelled their entire look on Malibu Barbie. Who, I'm not sure if you're aware, is a doll.

They're also dressing for men, which I don't think we do in Australia. Here, we dress in what looks good and what makes us feel good, as women. In fact I think we dress more for women than we do for men, which is bloody unreal. I'm so happy we don't feel the need to get around in tight, bright lycra in order to attract attention. It doesn't look good. It looks like they're stuck in a style rut and haven't paid any attention to fashion at all. I bet they're worn a variation of these dresses every weekend for the past three years. Bo-ring.

Fashion is about having fun, taking risks, dressing up and stepping into a new persona each time you leave the house. Try, I implore you, not to model that persona on Malibu Barbie.

Chloe's jumpsuit + blazer = cool cool

Sometimes I'd like to have the nerve to dress like Chloe Sevigny. But I just don't think I could get away with a vagina skimming jumpsuit at my next shindig, you know? Not sure how my friends would take it.

This outfit is beyond cool. It's transcended into a realm mere mortals can't even visit. Those that can? Chloe now, of course, along with Kate Moss, Helena Christensen, Alexa Chung, Erin Wasson, Daisy Lowe. It's that, "I'm so smoking hot, I can throw on whatever I like and it's stylish". And somehow, it is!

What can we, mere mortals, learn from this fashion Queen Bee? The blazer will come into its own when paired with something mini. Had Chloe worn this jumpsuit with a bomber jacket or a faux fur, it might have cheapened it. Instead, she's all class. A real feat when you're concerned about your butt sneaking out of your shorts. The other major trend is navy. Grey might be the new black but navy is the cool girl's staple.

What Kendra Did Next

It hurts me to say this, but you probably already know ... Kendra is getting her own show on television. Yes, Kendra, formerly girlfriend of Hugh Hefner and one of the old Chosen Three of the Playboy mansion, is now deemed to be so entertaining that she warrants her own program.

Gosh, what do you think it's going to be about?

I've got two thoughts:

1. A plastic surgery show where Kendra shows us how fake breasts can actually get you things. This is an extension of the theme on Girls of the Playboy Mansion - the episode where she was buying her own place and she grabbed her bosoms and said "thank you thank you thank you". They'd obviously bought her the house, you see. So the show would be about what fake breasts can do for the regular person. Fill out a bra, get unwanted attention, have people talking about you condescendingly on blogs like this.

2. How to have sex with an old man and get what you want in life - like a house (see above). This show would go over the basic tricks of how to score a man from the the Forbes Rich List, rather useful information really, and could perhaps profile women who've been successful in the past (like Melania Trump) and not so successful (Anna Nicole).

But enough guessing, what's the show actually about? Well, disappointingly, they haven't been clever or done anything that will help us be fabulous like Kendra I'm afraid. Nope.

The show is just about her. She's going to the mall. She's looking after her dog. She's having lunch with a friend. Riveting.

Anyway, back to what this blog is about ... her style. The weird thing about this top is that it seems to be all about framing those breasts, which, as we now know, she loves and is grateful for. If that was the case, then I probably wouldn't put them in a murky purple and then encase them with mesh. It seems a bit harsh, doesn't it? I'd treat them lovingly in a nice warm colour and keep all harsh metals away. Can I also just say that she's looking a little weathered for someone in her 20's? Maybe being Kendra takes a bit of work after all.

I'm not sure what planet Keira Knightley's living on, are you? Perhaps it's called Hair in Face to Hide Big Jaw Planet. Or maybe Dowdy Nanna Planet. Possibly even, I'm Not Sure Why My Hair Is This Dark And Hanging Like A Dense, Lank Curtain Planet.

Whichever it is, Keira's hair is Bad. Bad with a capital B. Bad like Michael Jackson's song Bad. Bad like getting caught in the rain on the way to a date Bad. Bad like finding a worm in your apple Bad. She's embracing hair that does absolutely nothing for her.

I'd excuse Keira if, like the rest of us, she had to do her own hair. In fact, this would probably be a good hair day for me. But here's the thing. She doesn't have to do her own hair. She's a celebrity. She has a team of people to do her hair for her. That's the weird thing - she actually asked for this style. Out of all the fabulous do's she could have had in the world, this is what she chose. And she seems to love it, she's been sporting it for a while now.

I had to say something. Keira, if you're reading this, leave the planet darling. Get on a spaceship and fly as far as you can until you hit Planet Earth. That's where we are.

French actress takes a hit

I'm a little divided by Camilla Bell's outfit. On the one hand, that dress is quite fabulous. Made from a gorgeous shimmery black/green it reminds me of what a dragon's skin would be like (you know, if I'd like, ever seen a dragon). The top drapes in a flattering way and blends perfectly into the fun feathered skirt. And besides all the dragon-eating-bird-jokes I'm thinking of right now, I really truly love it.

On the other hand, she's wearing it with black shiny tights and this takes it into roller disco territory. Seriously, can't you see her zooming around the rink in this outfit?

So let's just say the dress would have looked a lot better without the tights - they're taking the 80's trend too way too far and have tipped poor Camilla into the fancy dress category when all she wanted to be seen as was stylish. Still, when you're this gorgeous, you can pretty much get away with anything, right?

The cool gang

I'm all for self-expression. Hell, the more incredibly creative and beam-me-out-there you are with your style the better. And Taylor Swift is lovely, isn't she? A teenage singer who's actually talented, writes her own material and isn't a manufactured pop star. Sweet.

It pains me then, when I see her wearing something like this. At first glance you think
oh cool, Tay's branching out, but then you look at her and, well, it just reeks of trying-too-hard. doesn't it? A peek inside her head before she left the house this morning:

"So I'm trying to be cool, so what? I'm not part of the cool gang. Maybe if I tie this ribbon around my head Lindsay Lohan will speak to me. I saw Lauren Conrad wear it on The Hills and it seemed to make her popular. And everyone's got a plaid shirt these days. I'm wearing it like Nicole Richie, over skinny jeans. And I know! I know! I'll add my own spin with the belt and matching leather cuffs! I saw Jessica Simpson wearing something like this in her early days and she's like, my hero. The shoes are great, aren't they? They add colour. Yep, maybe even Mary Kate will think I'm cool."

Oh how hard it must be to try and fit in with that crew. Being 19 and a normal girl is hard enough, but trying to cultivate a great image and be seen as fashionable when all you really know how to do is sing would be even harder.

My first instinct is to grab that belt and throw it as far away from Taylor as I possibly can. Into an oncoming semi-trailer who hopefully will steam right over it and break the buckle forever. Then fling those leather cuffs after it, and steal her shoes. Go barefoot honey, trust me, it's better than these.

There. Saved you. So what if you step on glass? You've got to suffer for fashion, remember. Next? Don't try and be "trendy". Stick to what you know, the singing thing. Your style will come when you get older. And when you have more designer clothes thrown at you.

STOP PRESS! STOP!

Here, we have Jennifer Aniston, WHO HAS FINALLY LEARNED how to dress in her boring old neutrals, but STILL LOOK HOT! Geez Jen, it only took you 40 years. Congratulations.

What she's done right:

1. Head to toe grey.
Wearing one colour from top to bottom really works to elongate a petite frame (Jen is 5"4), so big tick for this. Especially for choosing grey shoes in suede - regular or patent leather wouldn't have blended so well.

2. The body con mini dress
The girl has a body. Let's face it, it's her best feature and if we're to believe John Mayer, she works extremely hard to keep it looking fabulous. So good on her for finally showing it off!

3. The simple clutch, no jewellery
An all-over grey outfit so magnificent in its simplicity would have been ruined with anything but this simple black clutch.

I never thought I'd say this, but 10 fashion points to Jen this week. Did she hire a new stylist?

So I didn't even notice Lindsay. OK I lie, of course I did. But who got my attention first? The fresh faced girl with the ponytail. Her outfit rocks. It's Ali Lohan, can you believe!

Maybe she's been paying attention to all the criticism about wearing too much make up and following too fast in her sister's skanky footsteps (for the record, I am all for Lindsay making a record-breaking comeback and really reallly hope she snaps out of the skank phase).

That said, her sister is kicking ass. A striped sequin midriff (note to Mischa, THIS is how to wear a midriff) with skinny dark jeans and white Minnie Mouse shoes is a killer outfit for a teenager. And she hasn't ruined it with an abundance of hair and make-up. Barely there nude skin, a clean ponytail and all of a sudden we can see how gorgeous she is. So pretty!

Go forth Ali, conquer! And prove all your critics wrong.

THIS is how to wear thigh high boots

A day after her big shoulder tux at the Costume Institute Gala, Rihanna shows us once again why she can do whatever the f%#@ she wants. This is such a cool outfit, I don't even know where to start. Wonder if Ruby Rose will copy this too. I would if I were her, she can so get away with it.

So can you if you're a) under 25 b) spend weekends with your head in market bins c) have thighs that could crack a walnut.

Note to Madonna: THIS is how you wear thigh high boots, not the too-big, too-many-bows boots that you wore to the Costume Insititute Gala. They may have looked great on a 6" supermodel, not a 5"4 50-year-old pop queen.

If you feel like you can't get away with it, another great, Recessionista way to copy this look is to rip a pair of opaque tights until they're holy all over. Wear under denim shorts and with your fave hoodie. Et voila! Rihanna's look on a recessionista's budget.

Most likely to do what the F she wants: Rihanna

Now, I love Rihanna, especially how she experiments and doesn't give a flying f#$% what other people think. She can do what she wants - she's the most talented 19-year-old on the planet who was chosen above all other artists to perform at this year's homage to fashion event. And this is her big comeback after all - she hasn't been to a big do since her fight with Chris Brown.
Still, if I was her, I maybe would've thought twice about this one ... I mean, there are Balmain shoulders, and then there are Balmain shoulders. These, clearly, are the latter. I do love how she pull it off with all the confidence in the world. It's like, "of course I'm wearing an oversized shiny tuxedo jacket that could belong to the Hunchback of Notre Dame and pants that are slightly too short. No, they're not Mary Kate's. Yes, I've got stretchy satin gloves on to match. Wouldn't you? Look at my slightly demure face and my submissive stance, doesn't that make up for my fierce shoulders?" Of course it does dear.

Most likely to be able to pull off Drama with a capital D: Kate Moss

Oh she's back! She's back! After a few worrying months in boring-drab-land, Kate cherry bombs with triple bonus points in this inspiring combo. It's all yummy nude fabric draped deliciously over her new curves and the piece de resistance? The head-wrap, of course. Prada tried to bring these in a few seasons back and it didn't really take but I bet Top Shop will be doing copies of this for their stores tomorrow. Her cheekbones and eyemakeup help of course, as does her Marc Jacobs handbag.

I guess I can't complain. I encouraged her. I told her she was the Most Boring Person in the Universe. I went on and on and on about it. So she came out with this. And it's certainly not boring, is it. Rather the opposite. It's ... interesting. Unfortunately, dressing like the antonym of Boring isn't the key. The key is Stylish. Look that up darl. This pic won't be there.
You know, if Madonna got tired like the nanna she is, at the end of the night she could just lie Anne down and use her as a pillow.
Don't worry Anne, at least we've stopped yawning when you walk the red carpet.

Most likely to avoid Medusa next time: Tyra Banks
Don't laugh, it's not her fault. Tyra pulled a funny face and the wind changed and now her face is stuck! Like this! Forever! What's she going to do on Next Top Model? How will she show the models how to pull different faces for the camera? Her career is over. Over I tell you!
Not least because she thought she could pull off this monstrosity: Hair piled on top of her head in plaits so it looks like a bad fringe. Black dress in a very uncomfortable fabric which actually may explain the face. And no eyebrows. Tyra, if you're going to continually dish out judgement on your show, then you at least have to perform in real life, to us. You have to rise above them. As far as I'm concerned, you wouldn't have made it to the final 12 in this.

Best use of excess F's: Fake tan, Fabric, Fierce: Victoria Beckham

I know I'm going to get paid out for this, but I actually love her. Oh I know, I know. She's so fake. Fake fake fake fake. But she carries it so well! Look at the confidence beaming from her face! It's rather admirable.
I don't like her dress though. That train is just silly. Funny how it works on Kate Moss and fails so miserably on poor Vic. Just goes to show the difference between a true style queen and one who's had to claw her way in. Anyway, let's talk about something positive, like the muscles in her thigh. Shock horror! Is Vicky working out? Or better, eating?

Most likely to suck your blood after midnight: Rachel Gilbert

I have a girl crush on Rachel Gilbert. I think it's 'cause she's so tiny and cute and wears the best things in the world. This is no exception. The ruching works perfectly in tune with her body and even (gasp) gives her a tiny bit of cleavage. Hayden must be over the moon. She always does it so well: box clutch, snakeskin platforms, that demure look on her face.
The only thing am not besotted with in this picture? Her hair. It hangs on her face when it could be doing something fabulous, and is waaaaay too dark this time round. Unless she's starring in the next Twilight installment, New Moon, as a vampiric temptress. In which case, we forgive you Rach.

Oooh! So much glorious, gorgeous fashion! My favourite event all year is the Costume Institute Gala at the Met ... it's like the Fashion Oscars. Much more interesting than the real thing 'cause we get to see style icons dressed up in their finest. Love love love. Nobody really put a foot wrong. Unless you count Madonna who bombed MASSIVELY. Like she was attached to a grenade, held her nose and divebombed. Here's round one:

Best 50's-Style Glamour: Kate Bosworth

Isn't she just the embodiment of old school Hollywood Glamour? She looks like Lana Turner. The long dress meshed with that fine fine lace is so elegant, and she hasn't ruined it with a clunky heel. Finger wave hair, clean face and red lip is just so striking on a blonde. Final touch, as always on a lady? Diamonds dahling, diamonds.

Most likely to be having a mid-life crisis: Madonna

Memo to Madge:
No sweetie, you're not a 19-year-old catwalk model. You can't get away with the bunny ears like the girls on the Louis Vuitton runway a month ago, especially in green and not light pink as they were meant to be. You also can't wear those thigh high boots, you're just not tall enough. If short girls want to wear thigh high boots they need to be sleek, stuck to the leg like a stocking. Not stocky boots, you got it wrong, stocking boots. Let's not discuss the dress shall we? I'm just not a fan of the ruching and big bubble. It might look good in an ad Madonna, but this is real life. Remember that? Real life? It's where the rest of us live.

So, before this picture, I used to be a Blair fan. More than that, I didn't even like Serena. But oh! How the tables have turned. Have you ever seen sex poured into a dress and walked onto a red carpet more so than beautiful Blake here? The shoulder, the breasts, the leg, the hair, that skin. She is woman. Hear her roar.

Most likely to be an Old Maid: Mary Kate Olsen

I don't know what's going on with MK. Her style lately is more up and down than a celebrity on crack. Whoops, did I just say that? Moving on. This outfit is ... horrendous, no? The colour's nice. That's about it. It's flouncy and layered with lace, metallic lace, metallic fabric, more fabric and looks like it's about to swallow her whole - look, it's already encroaching on her shoulders. Run Mary Kate, run, you're about to be eaten alive by your dress! Either that or be made to wash floors with a bucket and a scrubbing brush.

Most likely to use legs as weapons: Gisele

Dear God,
When I come back, you know after I've died, I'd like to see what it feels like to look like Gisele for a day. You know, to be all tawny and golden, from top to toe. To wear the most fabulous blue sequinned mini dress and accessorise with ankle boots that are really just fuck off out of this world and have sunkissed hair that doesn't even look 'done' but still looks seriously hot. Sorry God, didn't mean to swear.

Most likely to be paranoid about her baby weight: Jessica Alba

Now, I don't think she has baby weight, I think she's one of the most beautiful women in the world and looks incredible. But I know Jessica Alba, I've done at least four stories on her. And she's got a weird, weird body complex, she freely admits to having had an eating disorder and being an exercise fanatic. The body image paranoia is the only explanation I have for her latest penchant: wearing beautiful dresses and then ruining them with opaque tights. Why? Why would she do this? The dress is hot, her hair and face are hot. But her legs look dumpy. If they were bare and body glossed, she'd be a complete picture instead of inducing the urge for me to chop this shot off at the waist. It would do us all a service and cut out that red clutch too.

Most likely to be unfairly attached to Justin Timberlake: Jessica Biel

I'm not sure what I hate more about this: Her overly bronzed skin, the way she's clutching onto JT, her uneven hemline, or the way the excess fabric really does make her look like she's got a shelf ass. Plus, didn't Cameron Diaz wear a dress like this (only about a bazillion times better) but in dark purple to this exact same event about two years ago? And did she make him wear glasses or is he going through one of those "I'm an artist and I'm intelligent" phase? Yawn. Next please!

And you're not a big girl, it's purely the dress's fault. Let's not even talk about that cut-out long sleeve. I'd prefer to pretend it wasn't there. I'm sure you won't mind. It's almost like she doesn't know how to do black tie. In fact, we should probably cut her some slack 'cause this is the first time she's ever done black tie! Still, it's no excuse for this monstrosity. I'll forgive the feathers that look like they're creeping up her dress like some kind of sprouting, diseased animal, but I can't get past the ill-fitting bodice and that sweetheart neckline and those short sleeves. Can I repeat that? SHORT SLEEVES. On an evening gown. Just never, ever, ever have I seen such a thing. She could have salvaged the dress if she took to it with a pair of scissors and chopped off those sleeves but unfortunately she walked the red carpet like this. Ruby, I beg you, stick to leather and mini skirts, you know how to wear those like nobody else!

Have you met Kerrie-Anne Kennerley, sorry Sonia Kruger? Or is it Princess Sonia now? Oh, I know who you are! Stick a wand in your hand and you're Glenda the Good Witch! There is just far too much going on with this dress. Maybe if it wasn't this prissy blue (such a bridesmaid's colour) if she'd gone for chic navy, grey or black she might have gotten away with it.

The one shoulder, the long column, the belted waist ... all just work perfectly together to create one lean body of lush gorgeousness. She knows you don't need a taffeta train to create an entrance. Oh and her husband looks hot too.

Much like her dress, I'm a little bit divided on Jen. Sure, she looks beautiful, but the girl could wear a hesham sack and look beautiful. It's more about whether this dress is Logies appropriate. Is it? The bottom is - look how gracefully it falls over her legs to the ground just so. But the top half could realistically be underwear. Corsetry is fabulous when going to a party, but for the Logies, probably not. And that necklace. It looks like the stones all just fell on her chest and landed there. And she's only wearing it to dress the whole outfit up. Which, if the outfit stood on it's own like it was meant to, could stand up for itself. I do like her hair. Fresh, modern and not the least bit mumsy, unlike those Myer campaigns she has to put herself through.

Loving this simple look from one of my faves, Rachel Bilson (and one that we can all wear this weekend now that it's suddenly so damned cold!). She's managed to turn a grey turtleneck and jeans into a fabulously stylish outfit. It's easy, just add Chanel dah-lings.

Then just grab a printed scarf and twirl loosely around neck. The only prerequisite is that it must be in a neutral colour - that's why this look is working so well. The grey print on the scarf makes it stand out without being flashy, there's no try-hard edge to this look. It just screams ultra cool. Add a black felt hat and you're only one step away from getting a free ticket to Tinseltown.

It's her own fault. She must have had them bleached long ago, in her mega-famous phase, so I'm used to seeing that utterly perfect smile beam at me supersized from the cinema screen. And now that the bleach has worn off, well, she doesn't quite look like her bazillion-dollar self, does she?

On that note ... did anyone watch the 60 minutes story with Dr Frederic Brandt? The renowned dermatologist with his own skincare line that I've always thought to be a great doctor and I find out on Sunday night that he looks like a freak!

Cheek implants, Botoxed to the hilt, Restylane in lips ... all of it done so OTT it's horrendous. And apparently he's Madonna's doctor. Eeeew. I wouldn't let him touch my face with a 10 foot pole, let alone a pointed needle.

And this is a few years ago, when he's powdered and made up for the camera. Now he looks even worse.

Note well: I'm not a massive fan of Lauren Conrad. I mean, I like her, and I love The Hills. I'm a rather vocal supporter of Lauren's feud with Heidi (cause Heidi fricking deserves it!). But you know, I can take Lauren or leave her, it's not like she's a talented actress or anything.

Which is why it's so surprising that I'm finding myself a wee bit envious of the dress she wore on the David Letterman show. It's gold, but not too gold, more a cool dull metallic and screams "I left my hit TV show in it's prime and I don't give a flying fuck what anyone thinks!"

Good on her. That's what I did with my job and while it takes guts, the pay off for taking control and having a real life is really worth it at the end of the day.

Can we talk about her hair for a second? It's seriously the first time anyone's ever gotten extensions right.

Maybe leaving The Hills is the beginning of Lauren Conrad, actual fashion person, rather than the pretend fashion person she's been up until now.

And if that's the case, I'm all for it. Even if her leaving will spell the end of The Hills and I'll be forced to watch bitchface Kristen Cavilleri prance about like she owns The Hills with Speidi. Vomit.

Hmmm, not really sure how gold sequin pants work in any wardrobe really, even Eva Herzigova's. How can they possibly be flattering when they tick all the wrong boxes:

a light colour = more size
reflective = more size
little bits hanging off = extra bulk

Only girls with supermodel long, skinny legs could hope to pull this off, and as you can see, even Eva doesn't do a great job. It has partly to do with that t-shirt which looks like it came from the bottom of the wash basket and hasn't been worn for a decade. I know she was going for the "don't razzle on top when you dazzle on the bottom" rule, but this tee is so played down it's not even a basic anymore. You need something with a bit of shape to give the pants a chance. Unfortunately, teaming the pants with that tee and those gold shoes blew every chance the pants had.

What they needed, to really succeed and earn a permanent place in Eva's wardrobe, was a silky black singlet with a bubble hem (simple but shapely) and some fierce, black gladiator heels to take away from the "I should be tapdancing on stage in these" feeling.

So I've been trying to fight it, but this shot just proves I need to dig out my old denim jacket from the wardrobe trenches. It's going to work fabulously for your transeasonal dressing and in particular with a mini dress or shorts. DON'T wear with a long dress, that's the old way to wear it. DO wear with sharp pieces; body con dresses; ankle boots; tights.

The other trend from this shot that continues to pervade my thoughts are those grey boots.

It seems that SJP is reluctant to act her age. I'm not talking about her style - this dress is goregous and she's got the body of a 15-year-old, she can wear anything she wants! No ladies, it's more about the makeup.

When one reaches a certain age, it's important to change your look in a different direction so that it continues to be flattering. To suit you. To project an image that is softer, that doesn't age and isn't too harsh. It's extremely hard to break a lifetime of beauty habits - always painting your face in the same way is both easy and addictive, so I understand for SJP that switching makeup is a big call. But it can end up taking years off your face.

Lesson # 1: Dark eyeshadow ages you. The more you apply, the more visible the lines around your eyes, the more you look like you're trying to hold onto your youth when clearly that was long ago.

SJP hasn't learned this yet. But guess who has?

Kylie, of course. Look how young and fresh-faced she looks with her barely-there makeup - yes, you can bet she's wearing some, we just can't see it. The ultimate trick in looking younger. All you need is a good base, some mascara, a rosy cheek and slick of lipgloss. The proof is in the pudding!

Kylie never fails, she's always streets ahead of other celebrities when it comes to beauty (remember that green eyeshadow in her Light Years days) and literally zooms past the competition when it comes to fashion. This outfit is a prime example: young and fresh, but somehow mature enough for a 40-year-old. Sophisticated with the satin peep toe, but on-trend with the roll up jean. Relaxed and dressy at the same time. I dare say this is the perfect outfit.

Leighton Meester and the Giant Chloe Peach

How much do I love this girl? Quite a lot really. Well, if you're being picky it's actually her character Blair, on Gossip Girl that I'm obsessed with. And she's really coming into her own style wise.

This peachy cream dress by Chloe is blending so nicely into her complexion and all swings rather dashingly with that golden skin (fake tan, I'm sure, she's usually whitey white). And the shoes! Only a young starlet can get away with these ... you almost want to put them in a glass box on a shelf in the living room for people to admire.

Normally I wouldn't be a fan of wearing a colour so close to your skin tone it almost blends (Nicole Kidman always does this with non-complimentary results) but Leighton somehow pulls it off. I think it may be because the hole on her stomach is less obvious, and only there when you look closely, so all the more sexy.

What I'm not loving: her new penchant for under-eye makeup which I'm sorry to report brings her whole look down. Some girls can do this look - they've usually got razor sharp cheekbones and almond shaped eyes. But Leighton's whole face is round, so she needs to concentrate on pulling her makeup up and out to the sides - create the almond, don't shadow it.

How good has Drew Barrymore been looking lately? Utterly fantastic. So I don't want to bring her mojo down but this is a really good lesson for girls not blessed with long legs (also, I highly doubt anything I write will have any impact on Drew's mojo whatsoever).

This is why short girls shouldn't wear skirts/dresses that finish mid-calf. Never ever. Even if you're locked in a time machine and you come out in the 1940's and that's all there is to buy in the stores. Take the skirt up. Let the hem down. Do whatevever you have to do to make sure you're not wearing a mid-calf length dress, won't you? Especially with a shoe that goes all the way up your foot and cuts your legs off even more! It's like she's got a mirror that only shows herself from the waist up.

This applies to anyone 5"5 and under btw, anyone over that height can do what the bloody hell they want with their skirt hems, I don't give a hoot.

What is awesome about her look is that bright pink lip and messy updo. Try and rock that this Anzac Day and pour some sunshine into your weekend.

The Glossy Posse of The Hills

Goodness these girls are well groomed, aren't they? They're literally glistening from top to toe. Hair! Skin! Eyes! Teeth! Is there one body part they haven't dipped in shimmer? I think not. It doesn't help that four out of five are dressed in satin, does it?

LA girls have a particular way of dressing. It's not necessarily on trend, they don't ever look really cool or fashiony, they don't pay a lot of attention to style, you know? They just wear what they think looks pretty. This could be a good or a bad thing, depending on which side of the fence you sit.

Me? I think Lauren looks good as always, Audrina is passable except for that awful clutch, but Lo really needs to just go home - her hair and her clutch are so daytime television. And Stephanie? But I've got to voice a complaint here. Your interviewer, on the weekend, was talking to Miley Cyrus. And they asked her advice when it comes to having a good relationship. HOLY F-ING BATMAN E! NEWS! Are you seriously taking dating advice from a 16-year-old spoilt brat who's never breathed a day of normality in her life and had her sweet sixteenth at fricking Disneyland with 2000 people???

Now, I love celebrities as much as the next person. More in fact. But this is going too far. You've officially lost it. I have a particular dislike of Miley that probably stems from her smug smile and the way her parents don't even bother to try and keep her in her youth. They're quite happy to push her on Britney's path. But I won't be a part of it.

Sorry for the explosive rant but this really got under my skin. Could you please brief your interviewers in future to ask questions better suited to the celebrity? I might have taken dating advice from Kyra Sedgewick, for example. She who has managed to keep a marriage together with Kevin Bacon for over 20 years in Hollywood. She would most likely have some wisdom to share about how to stay happy in a relationship.

Debra Messing with bad straight hair

Er, this is what happens when you fight your natural curls. You end up with too-straight hair that is horribly dry on the ends and looks completely boring. I much prefer Debra with a bit of kink in those curls.

Ladies, take note: if you have curly hair, it's no use trying to make it completely straight - it might work for a while but will end up burnt and dry from all the irons you need to get it that way. Much better to stick some rollers in and smooth the curls out, so it's wavy and pretty and soft, y'know?

On another note, how fantastic is Uma's coat? Gorgeous. If you can't afford anything else this winter, get a coat in a great print that can stand on it's own.

I went to a wedding recently where a friend of mine's zipper broke on her dress, but her coat was so fabulous and fit so snugly that she just whipped off the dress and went on partying with just the coat to cover up. Her boyfriend was pleased!

Some pointers on headscarves:

Don't: wear at the front of your head and style hair forward over it. If scarf is at the front, your hair should stay behind.
Do: try the Axl Rose look, wrapping it around your forehead
Don't: wear a scarf that's a pretty version of the gang scarves from about eight years ago. Try a fresh new print with crisp colours, no pastels.
Do: Wear it a little thicker, and sitting slightly back off your hairline, so the end result is more polished.
Don't: Make it skanky like Tara, here at Coachella. Skanky hair + headband = bikie chick. And we all know how unpopular bikies are at the moment ...

Step 3: Wrap one half around your ankle, and fasten with velcro.
Step 4: Wear a pair of open-toed shoes you already have in your wardrobe.

According to The New York Times, the big apple has taken to cycling in a rather endearing way since the recession hit. Quelle horreur! The bankers have had to give up their private car privileges!

I think NY is the perfect city to cycle around, the cars move so slowly there's no fear of being hit and going from downtown to uptown is just a short burst of energy away. Plus, I think we can all learn something from the Dutch, this being just one of them.

As with any new trend, the clothes one wears must change accordingly with one's transport. Here's The New York Times' vision of the modern day cyclist on his way to work. Somehow, I just can't see the men of Manhattan looking quite this ... snazzy.

Coachella - best and worst dressed

Coachella, the outdoor music festival in the US, which has really gathered speed in the last couple of years, was held on the weekend. And while the US isn't necessarily known for their music fests, Coachella is the one all the celebs go to. Festival season is pretty much over in Oz, but you can still get tips on what to wear to Glastonbury or Splendour for those lucky enough to be going later this year. Or just what to wear this weekend.

Cutest couple: Kate Bosworth & James Rousseau

Classic but cool, stylish but comfortable ... this is one outfit Kate can dance in all night. Love the nautical theme with the yellow shoe twist. Anyone predictable would have worn a white shoe, or if they were lashing out, a red one. But Kate's sun-bright sandals leave them eating her fashion dust. Just on eating: I'm highly doubtful that pizza is for her, I think possibly, just maybe, she's carrying it for her boyfriend while the cameras are around. Either that or they're going to share the one slice - model James doesn't exactly look like he scoffs a lot.

Best use of an old hanky: Kirsten Dunst

It's not like this is a bad dress. It's fine. I mean, if you like that lace-finish-on-hanky look. It's a bit last year though, when everyone was wearing these dresses which look like they've been made in Bali, with the cutouts and the embroidery. I think I just expect something a bit more from Indy Queen Kirsten.

Best Onstage outfit: M.I.A.

She seriously kicks ass in these jeans. Who else could rock them so well six weeks after having a baby?

Best vintage: Nicky Hilton
I didn't think I'd ever write the words "best" with "Nicky Hilton" in the same sentence, but this vintage shift is tres cute, and her braided hair is spot on. Perfect throwing-your-head-around-to-a-band-in-a-field-type hair. Though I can't imagine that's Nicky's thing.

Worst couple: Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt

Luckily, Paris keeps up tradition for what we've come to expect from the Hilton's style. The bikini top and long skirt combo is actually fine for day, but when she refuses to put a top on at night? Oh, so horribly obvious she just wants to show off. Not only that, but nobody should wear bronze ballet flats with this outfit, they're just a contradiction: bikini top should mean flat, open sandals. Nothing else. Together with her awful bronze bag, she's accessorised herself out of the fashion books. Please don't even let me get started on Doug or we may be here for a while. His shorts/shoe combo is just comical when he's walking around with the queen of matchy matchy.

Best jumpsuit: Cat Deeley

Cat Deeley shows off her festival fashion experience (being from the UK, she'd have grown up going to Glastonbury) and trumps the Yanks in a studded embroidery jumpsuit that looks rather Matthew Williamson to me. Her casual accessories and genuine laugh make this chick a favourite.

Most boring ass people to hang out with: Resse Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal

Is Reese seriously trying to jazz up her most-likely-from-Gap-and-so-oversized-safari-dress with those pink beads? She needs styling help, fast. This could have worked if it was shorter or tighter, or actually fit her. The hat and the glasses make her tiny-heart shaped face all scrunch down like she's fresh out of The Wizard of Oz. Not a good look. And Jake just loses points 'cause he let her leave the house like that. I'd hate to see her shoes. I bet they're loafers.

Most likely to be the next shooting starlet: Isabel Lucas with Zach Braff

Man, this girl knows how to network! Or is she just so gorgeous that famous men in Hollywood flock to her side? I think it's a bit of both. So far the ex-Home & Awayer has been seen with all the coolest up and comers in LA: Adrian Grenier, Shia Le Boeuf and now Zach Braff. Triple gold star Lucas. Love the oufit - she sticks to her boho roots with a soft floral skirt, plain white tee and flat suede boots. The hat and her satchel bag really work, nothing comes across as try-hard. I can't fault her. Plus, she drinks real Coke. Can someone give the woman a starring role please?!

Most surprising outfit: Dita von Teese

She's always so gorgeously attired, wearing pin thin Dior skirts and platform shoes, that I couldn't ever have imagined Dita doing casual. But here she is ladies, for all those other prim style lovers to glean from: this is how you do casual when you don't like wearing jeans or Erin Wasson-ripped-shorts. Love love her pretty dress, vintage glomesh bag, but most of all: those canvas sneakers. They say preppy casual in a way no other shoe can, don't they? Look and learn.

Most honest mistake: Kimberley Stewart

So she thought she was playing it safe, but let it be known that a black jumpsuit with a drawstring does absolutely nothing for flat chested women. It turns her into a pear, which Kimberley is most definitely not, and teamed with those heavy boots just drags her entire look down to the bottom half of her body, making it all just sink to the ground. One to watch out for, the drawstring. It creates gravity when there wasn't even any there.

If there has ever been a clear case of how much of a difference your hair makes to your face, this is it.

Kate Moss is looking old. I can't deny it anymore, her lifestyle is taking a toll on her face. What's making it worse though, is that haircut. It's terrible. Mumsy. Old. Too blonde, too saccharine, too sweet for her tried and tested rock goddess image. What was she thinking? She needs to grow out those layers and get back to her hot self. No wonder the only style we see her with on the street lately is a simple bun - she's trying to hide the horrid hair!

The other question I'm asking? Why is she suddenly feeling the need to take her clothes off to flog her fashion line? Is this state of undress really necessary? Do women buy clothes wondering how they'll look when they come off? Is this really a consideration when shopping? I think not. The shots look like they're made for men.

Which unfortunately, is not who her Top Shop range is aimed at.

The one great thing about these pictures is her newly rounded body. Actual proof that Kate Moss has curves. Proper ones. Yes yes, she's still a skinny minny, but she's definitely got a soft fleshy layer over those bones now. And about time too.

I'm just not sure about the blazer over evening dress trend. Is it only supermodels who still look this gorgeous long after their career is over who can wear them to a black tie event?
Blazers, for me, look great with pants, jeans, shorts, skirts ... anything that has that balance ratio. I'm not into the after-8 trend. Helena, of course, carries it off beautifully, but I think this is one of those trends we normal folk take with a pinch of salt. I think I'd look like I was wearing my boyfriend's jacket after a big night.
But maybe that's the point.

And all you need for this look? A fuck-off great coat in a cool colour - black will work but it needs to be an interesting shape (scroll down for Jen's boring blackness this week). Look how the deep v in front has elongated her whole body. So start with basics: a white tee, a black blazer, then pop on the coat without buttoning up for a longer, leaner finish.

You'll already have the opaques and the ankle boots. Head to Diva and buy up big on black wrist jewellery for winter, you'll be wearing it for months.

If all else fails? Get new hair, like Rachel did. This look only comes-with-hairdresser so I'd suggest an easier style that doesn't need flippy blowdrying, unless you're a whiz with a brush and a blower.

First there was recession dressing (a return to the classic, the basics, what you'll wear for the next five years), now there's recession makeup.
And it ain't pretty.
This looks more like I-just-lost-my-job-and-can't-be-bothered-looking-at-all-decent hair and makeup. Which really ladies, no matter how down you're feeling or how bad things are, if you look crap too it's only going to make you feel worse.
I always change my nailpolish with my moods (black for dark and sexy, red to hit the town), and makeup should be the same. If you're feeling horrible, it helps to make a big effort and look great, 'cause, well, at least you still have that!
So please ignore this latest trend from - I'm not even going to tell you which show it was - but a fashion designer in New York. They were probably trying to be sensitive to the economic carnage ripping through the world but I think they really missed the mark.

Wow, she's really going to emerge as the new hot thing, isn't she? Some of you might think she already has, but I've been putting off the whole High School Reunion craze for as long as I could ... they're too ... young. That Zac Efron, he's so perfect he looks like a Ken Doll. Not attractive.

Vanessa though, is really developing into a stylish young woman. Or has she just hired a stylist? Either way, she's kicking it, honing in on one of the biggest trends this season: the obi belt. Wear it a little thicker with a pair of high-waisted pants or shorts and tights. Love the contrast of the nude dress (another big trend) and the black. Minimal jewellery makes the big belt and peach clutch stand out even more.

We're just going to say this once: stop trying to do "good casual". You can't pull it off. I'm sorry to be blunt and maybe ruin your morning, but this outfit is just plain weird. I'm not sure even how to describe it.

The shirt is great, but baggy denim knee length shorts? That's your big mistake (if it was bleedingly obvious when you looked in the mirror, which clearly, it wasn't).

Team the shirt with a pair of shorter denim shorts? Great! With a pair of tailored black shorts? Fantastic. With regular jeans? Wonderful.

This Balmain jacket is the one in all the catwalk pics you've seen, the one that sparked the military trend and also set off the tie-dye/bleach splashed/acid wash jeans trend.

The jacket, as worn here spectacularly by Beyonce, was in the AUS$11,000 range, and sold out before it even got online.
Ahem, what recession?

Regardless of the price, this is the one look you should copy this winter. How to do it on a recessionista's budget? Easy.

Step one: Find a military inspired jacket. Hunt vintage stores, sew buttons on an old one, do whatever it takes. This is a piece that will last you for years, so if you're going to choose an item to spend on, this is it. Fit is all-important - make sure it's close to the body, you only want to fit a tee or thin knit underneath it.

Step two: Buy some shoulder pads from Lincraft that are big and really quite obvious. Stick in the jacket.

Step three: Don't feel silly with shoulder pads, especially if this is the first time around that you've worn them. Think of us poor souls who've actually lived this trend the first time around and have to do it again.

Step four: Pop into Mango, Dotti, Bardot for a pair of acid-wash jeans. You'll probably only wear them for one season so as long as they fit okay, you don't want to spend a fortune. If they're a bit baggy, roll up at the ankle.

Step five: Finish with an ankle boot if you're wearing skinny jeans, strappy heels if wearing baggy. I don't care if it's cold.

Step six: Swagger like you mean it, this look will only work if you've got the confidence to pull it off!

And while I hope it's true (sorry to all you natural skinnies out there but too much of anything isn't healthy) I'm having serious doubts that Hollywood is in agreeance. Case in point: the two stars of 90210 Shenae Grimes and Jessica Stroup. Thankfully, 90210 doesn't screen here anymore, because all I did was stare in horror at their stick thin legs and ignore the storyline Probably why it failed here!
And it's not just a Beverly Hills trend ... Scarlett Johannsen, once the poster girl for curves, has apparently lost a lot of weight on a "strict diet", her waist is down to 23 inches. Eva Mendes is on the wane. Beyonce seems to have slimmed. Sigh. What's a normal girl to do?
Hopefully, as Shane points out, we can look to the UK. Two words of inspiration: Kate Moss. You've seen her pot, haven't you? Here it is again in case you missed it.

So take heart. If Kate is anything to go by (and past history tells us that she actually rules our world: skinny jeans, vests, platform shoes etc), it's only a matter of time before the pot hits Hollywood and the rest of fashion world follows suit.
It's one trend I'm hoping catches on fast, especially after Easter!

Does Victoria Beckham get style points for this? I'm not sure. All she's done is copy the look from the Balmain catwalk and claimed it. For once, the catwalk shot has made the rounds more than the pap shots.

Michelle Monaghan (Law & Order, Mission Impossible III) has hit the cool mark on it's twitching head with this combo.

She centres her look around that-which-we-all-must-have-this-winter: a jacket with big shoulders in a cool grey. A statement necklace in black looks way better than the traditional gold or silver. That's all you'll need to buy.
Head to Sportsgirl for the jacket, Diva for the necklace, then wear with what you've already got in your wardrobe: the black skinny jeans, the black fierce shoes and a loose-ish white tee.

Thick belts around the waist look fab, when worn correctly (remember this shot of Scarlett I posted a few backs ago).

But Paris doesn't know how to dress herself lately. I'm not sure what it is, but ever since she's been going out with Doug Reinhart (he dated Lauren on The Hills which is how I know he has his own private jet and prob why Paris likes him) she's just lost it even more than normal.

The silver sequin dress with thick belt, thick boots combo is tres horrible. It's a combination of things ... the dress has no shape, so going for a belt is correct, but more suitable would have been a thinner belt around the hips, blousing the dress over the top. IT'S TRUE! I told you I saw it on the video of the Top Shop opening last week and this pic confirms it: Kate Moss has a belly.

Oh look, I know it's not as devastating as North Korea launching a weapon or as groundbreaking as Obama in Turkey but hey, this is big news in the fashion world.

Cause if she's not pregnant, she may just be slipping slightly.

Of course, I love Kate so much I'm not willing to admit that. My theory is that she's off the drugs so she can get pregnant and have a healthy child, which has given her a tiny pot. I'm not sure which theory is better.

No fair! Why don't we get to have Matthew Williamson collaborate with our high street stores so we can wear fabulous paint splashed dresses like this one Ginnifer Goodwin has from H&M, without paying thousands of dollars? This must have been about $200. You can't get a tissue in Sportsgirl for that much anymore.

On another note, I quite like her hair and makeup. She hasn't gone for the predictable middle part shag which is what any other boho chick would have done. Ginny (can I call you Ginny?) keeps her look all class with a sophisticated side part that has a 40's glamour to it, and a well defined smoky eye. Nothing slapped on or haphazard about it.

Shenae vs Chanel

I love Chanel. Such an incredibly vibrant and ever-evolving label thanks to genius Karl Lagerfeld who is an expert at reinvention.
It's a pity then, that Shenae Grimes (90210), was allowed to shop there by herself and choose this frock. Gorgeous though it may be, skinny skinny Shenae doesn't do it justice. A few sizes too big, it hangs limply on her bony body. Reminding me, in fact, of an old woman.
It could have been great. She could have worn it in her size, carried a Chanel clutch instead of the long strap (definitely old lady choice) and she could have left off the earrings - her dress is sparkly enough. A tough leather wristband would have funked up her outfit and kept it youthful and vibrant, the way it was meant to be worn.

As reported in US Magazine, Spencer's comments below when asked about the music world. A little background: Heidi is getting ready to release her new album in August/September. The last song she did was so hideous it didn't get released. Spencer filmed the video himself which was just of Heidi writhing around on the beach like an awkward 12-year-old trying to be sexy. It was so cringe-worthy, even I had to stop watching.

Anyway, apparently she's recording again and this is what Spencer had to say:

"People are calling Lady Gaga the pop princess, [so] what's Heidi - the pop queen?" Pratt asked.

Asked to name five artists Montag is more talented than, Pratt said,
"Madonna, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera."

Is there anything I don't love about this outfit? NO! She's working it. Shoving it in Chris the Bitch's face who's too afraid to be seen in public for fear of being egged (I just made that up, but I imagine that's what he's thinking)

It's such a well put together look, with unexpected accessories like the fringed ankle boots in cream clashing with her light jeans - love how they're not skinny jeans, means you can buy yours a bit baggier and roll 'em up like Rihanna. A sleeveless jacket won't suit everyone, so you can try a long knit vest or a long-sleeved jacket to make it work for winter. The other accessories: big silver necklace and big blue bag complete her rock look. The best bit about her though? That hair. Imagine being able to walk around with hair like that and have it look this hot? Love love.

P.S This reinforces the pastel trend which Kate Moss started that I posted about last week and absolutely adore. Save it for Spring or wear it right now!

So, there's nothing really wrong with Jessica Biel. But I just can't believe that she's still managed to hang onto JT. He of the ridiculously creative mind, incredible dancing body and genius musical talent.

How did she do it?

She's so ... nothing. And she's not afraid to show it. This outfit perfectly embodies her nothingness. The jacket's fine and the jeans are fine, but it's that top.

Lesson #241: never buy a coloured top in a fabric that's kinda sheer. It looks cheap. If it's sheer, it either needs to be silk or chiffon. Not the kind of fabric Jessica Biel is wearing, which isn't smooth. Also, pockets on the breast? Big no no.

None of that please.

Gosh, Stella McCartney is fashion forward, isn't she? Those thigh high boots are incredible and I absolutely love the dress.

It's a pity she's not tall and slender like a supermodel. They might have looked good on her if she was.

Yet another lesson in wearing what suits you. Yes, that old chestnut rears its ugly head again. Just because Stella is one of the world's premiere fashion designers who counts Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna and Kate Moss amongst her closest friends, doesn't mean that she can wear what the tall ones wear and get away with it. She's repeat offender on this front.

What would have worked better is a very simple, very short black dress, which would have elongated her entire body instead of cutting her in two (plus, those boots must be pleather because she doesn't wear any animal products, imagine how much she's sweating under there).

On a positive note, I love a girl who's confident enough to wear her hair back with barely any makeup, just a little contouring on the cheeks and some colour lining the eyes. Kudos on the hair and makeup front.

What I love about this outfit: The tight body con shape, the huge shell necklace, the sheer pantyhose, the cut-out shoulders.

What I'm not sure about: The bag, and is that an anklet?

Zhang Zhi, gorgeous young thing from Memoirs of a Geisha, shows us how to sex up a little black dress with now on-trend sheer black stockings, and of course the accessory of the season: the shoulder. Love the simplicity of the huge shell necklace, but think she could have done with a more streamlined clutch to go with the rest of this streamlined look. Everything is very slick, including the hair. Overall a complete winner.

Emmy Rossum needs a stylist

If there's one girl in the world who'd politely argue with Anne Hathaway for her World's Most Boring Celebrity Title, it's Emmy Rossum. She's that chick in ... yeah can't remember she was so forgettable. Anyway, Emmy was bragging to folks last year about how Anna Wintour was going to personally dress her for the Costume Institute Gala night (as if!) and when the night rolled around, Anna made a point of ignoring her (note to Emmy: you're not Gwyneth).

You can't tell that I'm not a big fan of Emmy's, can you?

What makes her so boring? Let's take this outfit here: She's tried to be interesting and go silver! But that was last year's trend. The fabric resembles bad wallpaper and the dress looks like she bought it on sale at a chain store. Not something celebrities should do unless they've got some form of personal style. She could have rocked this with some fierce shoes but she went with safe pumps and even safer black clutch. And look! No jewellery! I bet Perez even ignored her and he was the one to invite her to his birthday.

But what bothers me most about Emmy Rossum here, is her hair. Ugh. It's pretty much summing up how I feel about Emmy Rossum. Lank. Straight. Bo-ring. Bottom line?

I think she's beating Anne Hathaway for her title. And that ain't something to be proud of.
