Wow, we really have come a long way in the fashion world! For the first time in history, US Vogue will have a black woman on the cover for two issues in a row. It's amazing and inspiring and makes me look forward to a brighter future. I remember years ago when I was at Cosmopolitan and my editor went to the international Cosmo conference, where the American editor was saying how they couldn't put a black person on the cover because she wouldn't sell.
Hallelujah, how things have changed! First, Michelle Obama, the official new style queen rocked the cover, and now Beyonce, looking particularly beautiful.
At a time when role model Rihanna is NOT proving to be the prime example of strong woman we expect her to, it's nice to know that there are plenty of other strong minded women to take her place.
