I love Chanel. Such an incredibly vibrant and ever-evolving label thanks to genius Karl Lagerfeld who is an expert at reinvention.
It's a pity then, that Shenae Grimes (90210), was allowed to shop there by herself and choose this frock. Gorgeous though it may be, skinny skinny Shenae doesn't do it justice. A few sizes too big, it hangs limply on her bony body. Reminding me, in fact, of an old woman.
It could have been great. She could have worn it in her size, carried a Chanel clutch instead of the long strap (definitely old lady choice) and she could have left off the earrings - her dress is sparkly enough. A tough leather wristband would have funked up her outfit and kept it youthful and vibrant, the way it was meant to be worn.
